The Post Dispatch, the weekly newspaper serving Garza County and its county seat of Post, southeast of Lubbock, and the Knox County News-Courier, serving the county seat of Benjamin and other cities including Knox City and Munday, are under new ownership beginning with the first issue of August 2023.

TAYLOR – Navasota Examiner Publisher and Ad Director Ana Cosino has been named Brazos Valley Area publisher, adding the Madisonville Meteor to her newspaper family.

CUERO – Dave Shabaz is the new editor and publisher for DeWitt County Publishing, LLC, including the Cuero Record, Yorktown News-View, dewittcountrytoday.com and multiple associated special sections and niche products.

More than a year after a gunman killed 19 students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, a judge has ordered the Texas Department of Public Safety to release information about the attack and the law enforcement response.

AUSTIN – The Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Texas Public Information Act at the annual state conference Sept. 28 at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center in Austin.
