From time to time, I like to review these for newcomers to the business or others who may have missed them. Updates to DMM citations and changes are made as well as percentage changes.

In the 1970s my folks had four children still at home, so when they decided to build a new house they purchased six spacious acres and designed a house with plenty of rooms for the whole family.

A few years ago, however, they realized that all of that house and all of those acres were way more than they needed or wanted to care for so they decided to downsize to a smaller home that better met their needs.

We have to sympathize with businesses and public institutions attempting to function in the age of social media.

A great example of what they face played out Tuesday and Wednesday as Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Galveston was attempting to deal with a Facebook post by a woman claiming her daughters contracted staph or strep infections there.

‘Retaliation for use of the Open Records Act will inhibit every citizen from using it.’

A North Georgia newspaper publisher was indicted on a felony charge and jailed overnight last week – for filing an open-records request.

Fannin Focus publisher Mark Thomason, along with his attorney Russell Stookey, were arrested on Friday and charged with attempted identity fraud and identity fraud. Thomason was also accused of making a false statement in his records request.
