Scott Wesner and Scott Wood have purchased the Coleman Chronicle & Democrat-Voice in a transaction which included colemannews.com and Coleman Pack & Ship.

“We’re really excited to be the new owners of the Chronicle & DV,” Wood said. “We’re looking forward to being involved with such a wonderful community.

Publisher Evan Autry, whose great-grandparents started the Chronicle in 1933, announced the change in a Dec. 2 newspaper column. 

The Victoria Advocate Publishing Co. and Texas Community Media have merged together to form M. Roberts Media. The merger includes three daily newspapers and a bi-weekly (The Victoria Advocate, the Longview News Journal, the Marshall News Messenger and the Panola Watchman), seven digital properties, a full-service marketing business and a variety of verticals.

GateHouse Media says it will continue to expand its footprint in Austin in 2016, adding workers and increasing the amount of office space it leases.
