Staff promotions, additions at Texas newspapers

Justin Tubbs
Ennis News
ENNIS – Justin Tubbs, news editor of The Ennis News, has been promoted to general manager and editor of the newspaper and associated publications.
Tubbs has been with the newspaper since September 2014, starting as a staff writer, working his way to news editor and then training for management opportunity. He attended Texas Christian University.
“A community newspaper is a vital part of any town, and Ennis is no exception,” Tubbs said. “Our newspaper has been an integral part of the community for more than a century. My goal is to ensure that our readers continue to receive relevant, fact-based reporting and that our advertisers continue to get their dollar’s worth in utilizing us an Ennis-based marketing tool.”
Tubbs spent the first eight years of his life in Ennis. Most of his family still lives in Ennis today, which he said was a factor in choosing to move back to Ellis County in 2014.
