The Monitor in Naples, a weekly newspaper of 1,160 circulation is for sale by owners. Established in 1886 in Morris County, the newspaper covers the cities of Naples and Omaha, as well as adjoining Titus, Cass and Bowie counties. The Monitor is located 18 miles east of Mount Pleasant, 50 miles west of Texarkana and 45 miles north of Longview. Recent growth in the area includes the Northeast Texas Community Col­lege, Best Fender Products operations at three locations in and around Mt. Pleasant and the reopening of U.S. Steel at Lone Star and the region shows future economic potential.
