Mazur named publisher for the Kaufman Herald

KAUFMAN – Melanie Mazur is the new publisher of the Kaufman Herald.
She introduced herself in a column published July 18, noting that while she has mostly lived and worked in northern states, she has family ties to Texas and warm memories of visits to Gonzales, Odessa and Castroville.
Most recently, she has been working in Colorado.
“We are the caretakers for your local newspaper, and it’s not a job we take lightly,” Mazur wrote. 
“Our hard-working staff takes this work seriously, and my job is to support them as we transform the Herald into the best small newspaper in Texas.”
