Addleman moves to Navasota

Brent Addleman is the new publisher of The Navasota Examiner, succeeding Angel Rosamond.

Addleman most recently worked as the managing editor of the Brownwood Bulletin in Brownwood and also served in the same capacity with the Glen Rose Reporter upon moving to Texas in July 2014. 

“I definitely look forward to working with the talented staff here at the paper and look forward to working with the many members of the community,” Addleman said.

Peyton Aufill  

The Canadian Record

Peyton Aufill is the new sports writer and cartoonist for The Canadian Record, taking over for Antonio Morales. Aufill grew up in Lubbock and attended Texas Tech University, earning his bachelor’s degree in art in 2012, with an emphasis in painting. He then moved to Canadian, where he has resided for the past two years, teaching and creating art.

Brent Addleman has been named the Brownwood Bulletin’s managing editor. Addleman most recently served as editor of another Gatehouse Media paper, the Glen Rose Reporter.

Todd Frantz 

Stephenville Empire-Tribune/Glen Rose Reporter

Todd Frantz has been named general manager and advertising director for the Stephenville Empire-Tribune and the Glen Rose Reporter, both publications of Gatehouse Media. Frantz has been in the newspaper industry for more than 25 years. He worked for newspapers in Texas (Fort Bend and Victoria), California and, most recently, Utah. His titles have included editor, ad director and publisher.

A good community newspaper is a keystone to the economic development and prosperity of a city.

Lou Antonelli was named managing editor of The Clarksville Times. Previously, he was managing editor of the Daily Tribune in Mount Pleasant, managing editor of the Bowie County Citizens Tribune in New Boston and worked for papers in Winnsboro and Malakoff.

EVAN GRICE - The Gainesville Daily Register

Jim Perry, publisher of the Gainesville Daily Register, announced Evan Grice as its newspaper’s sports editor.  “I’m pleased to have Evan Grice join our news team,” Perry said. “We are committed to bringing our readers all the local sports and news both in print and online.”  Grice, 26, graduated from West  Texas A&M in Canyon and has experience with both daily and weekly newspapers.

BOB BEAL - The Fort Stockton Pioneer

Bob Beal was hired as a reporter for The Fort Stockton Pioneer. Frank Rodasky’s recent promotion to managing editor had left the position vacant. Rodasky continues to share reporting duties with Beal and with sports reporter Remie Ramos.
