Reid’s comments: “There does not appear to be any requirement for public notice of a municipal fee, so SB 767 would not directly displace any existing notice requirements.  There are, of course, newspaper notice requirements for a municipal budget hearing. The bill does not affect those, and actually uses that deadline as the statutory deadline for when email notice must be provided. See proposed Sec. 110.002(d)(3)(A).

Go see author and see if we can add Newspaper Notice to the bill. Note that he is calling for a website notice with email notification which our statewide site can provide.

Legal notices running in newspapers must be posted on the Newspaper's website and on TPA's statewide website.

Allows public notices for NPDES permits to be (hidden) online in lieu of published in newspapers. NOTE: These permits control the discharge of pollutants into water in order to ensure the safety of water quality and people's health.

Good transparency bill regarding disclosure of relationships between government officers and vendors. Bill adds subcontractors. 

 

Skeleton Crew Bill. Defines what days count as a "business day" and clarifies that an employee working from an alternative site does not affect whether a day is considered a business day.
