Hurricane Harvey damage, flooding disrupts postal delivery

USPS, as well as the local, state and federal agencies in the storm damaged areas, are still in search and rescue mode. There are employees in Beaumont postal facilities that cannot be reached. Other than search and rescue, the instructions to USPS employees is to shelter in place. Damage assessment hasn't even begun in much of the Houston area. 
Mail processing is taking place in Austin and San Antonio. Mail that can be transported for delivery is going out, but mail for the affected area is being staged, or held in Dallas.

File your statement of ownership by October 1

PS FORM 3526, STATEMENT of OWNERSHIP, MANAGEMENT, AND CIRCULATION FOR 2015

The deadline for filing your Statement of Ownership, Management, and Circulation (PS Form 3526) with the U.S. Postal Service is October 1 of each year. The filing and publication of this form is a requirement for maintaining Periodicals mailing privileges. Dailies must publish a completed copy of this form in their newspaper by October 10, and non-dailies by October 31.
