APME - ASNE joint conference set Sept. 11-12

Associated Press Media Editors (APME) and the American Society of News Editors (ASNE) are holding a joint conference Sept. 11-12 in Austin.
Registration is open now for the 2018 ASNE-APME News Leadership Conference Sept. 11-12 at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin.
Last month, APME and ASNE announced the two journalism leadership groups intended to pursue plans to merge. Both groups are asking members to participate in a survey about the merger - with an added incentive. One respondent, drawn at random, will receive a waiver for one entry to the 2019 APME Journalism Excellence contests (Up to $100 value).
The event will feature the latest innovations in content and technology, leadership strategies and new business models. Topics include Workplace Integrity: Eliminating Harassment and Discrimination in Media; The Tool Shed examining key technological tools for making newsrooms more effective; and Measuring Success with tailored analytics.
Members may register online at either group's website, www.apme.com or www.asne.org. Room reservations may be made online. Information about hotel accommodations is also available.
