Paragraph Ranch Media personnel changes
Spur, Texas–based Paragraph Ranch Media has announced several recent personnel moves within the organization, which publishes five weekly newspapers in print and online editions, serving 10 contiguous rural counties and 15 school districts east of Lubbock.
At The Post Dispatch, which is celebrating 100 years of continuous publishing since its founding in 1926 as the voice of Garza County, Stephanie Allen succeeds Anna Gibson as managing editor. Allen, an M.A. and B.A. graduate of Texas Tech University in communication studies and a Texas UIL speech and debate coordinator, joined The Post Dispatch in November 2025. Reach out to her at post@wtx.news or (806) 990-7868.
A bit of trivia about Texas’s own Post Dispatch, sans hyphen: from 1909, when cereal magnate C.W. Post came to West Texas to found a health colony, to 1926, the Post City Post was the community’s newspaper of record; but the longtime leaseholders, unable to reach a deal to buy that paper from its Crosby County owner in 1926, struck out on their own with a new venture deliberately evocative of Joseph Pulitzer’s juggernaut, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.)
At the Knox County News-Courier, based in Munday, Vonda Carter has retired as managing editor after 12 years in various capacities under four publishers.
