Dave Shabaz assumes publisher, group manager duties in Cuero

CUERO – Dave Shabaz is the new editor and publisher for DeWitt County Publishing, LLC, including the Cuero Record, Yorktown News-View, dewittcountrytoday.com and multiple associated special sections and niche products.

Most recently, Shabaz held the same post for the semi-weekly Sulphur Springs News-Telegram, weekly Country World newspaper as well as the magazines, niche publications, websites and other digital products in Hopkins County.

In addition to his new post in DeWitt County, Shabaz serves as a group manager for the Jackson County Herald-Tribune, Aransas Pass Progress and Ingleside Index.

The appointment was announced by Jim Moser on behalf of DeWitt County Publishing, LLC. “Dave made the commitment to move here to live and work in DeWitt County. For over 35 years he has demonstrated the willingness and ability to work hard to provide the best community newspapers possible for readers and advertisers alike,” Moser said.
