Aldridge returns as publisher of The Light and Champion

CENTER – Leon Aldridge has returned to the editor and publisher post at The Light and Champion, a Moser Community Media publication.
He succeeded Mike Elswick, who has served in that capacity the past two and a half years.
A longtime resident of Center, Aldridge served as publisher of The Light and Champion twice previously.
His career in communication also includes having served as editor and publisher of newspapers in Texas at Naples, Boerne and Marlin.
He has worked in newspaper group management positions, served as marketing director for companies outside of the media field, and taught media communication courses at Stephen F. Austin State University, where he earned a master’s degree in communication.
Elswick and his wife, Stephanie, joined the newspaper’s staff in July 2018 with her serving as marketing and advertising director. He plans to step back from media management and devote time to other interests, including non-profit work and freelance writing, while Stephanie Elswick has accepted a marketing position with a local company.
The couple said they are looking forward to remaining active in the Center and Shelby County communities.
