SOS Elections Division offers subscription XML Newsfeed for Nov. 8 election returns

In addition to regular election night returns, the Texas Secretary of State's Elections Division is offering media subscriber access to an online-based inquiry system for the Nov. 8, 2022 election.
For a $250 subscription fee, the online system has immediate update features. Vote totals are updated continuously throughout election night as soon as returns are received. The inquiry system will display election results for statewide, district, county, and early voting totals.
The XML Newsfeed option is available for all media subscribers. Those who opt not to subscribe will still have access to view unofficial returns on the Secretary of State website.
The XML NEWSFEED service provides a means for subscribers to receive the datafeed for election night results as XML through sftp (secure file transfer protocol). The subscribers will be assigned user credentials and access information once the subscription fee has been received. Statewide Race Summary results and a county-by-county breakdown on each race are released every two minutes. Subscribers may obtain a sample race format prior to the election. Subscribers are also required to participate in a test with the Secretary of State’s office prior to the election.
For more information contact Julia Montes, Elections Division, jmontes@sos.texas.gov. Deadline for application and fee payment is Sept. 9.
