“Mission One: Revenue” conference is coming back to Austin for the 2019 event Aug. 15-17 at the Austin American Statesman, 305 S. Congress.

The conference starts Thursday, Aug. 15, with sessions from 1 to 5:15 p.m. and continues Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8:15 until 11:45 a.m.
Speakers include Phillip Beswick, The Research Department LLC; Rebecca Capparelli, Gatehouse Media; Ryan Dohrn, Brain Swell Media; Al Getler, Advantage Newspaper Consultants; Stacey Hill, Press & Gazette Company; Mike Martoccia, BH Media Group; Bill Ostendorf, Creative Circle Media Solutions; Chris Stahl; LNP Media Group; Jim Stevenson, Spinal Column Media Group; and Mike Blinder, The Blinder Group.
Topics include how to build sustainable subscription business, recapturing auto sales revenue, a case study on success with small market weeklies, coupon marketing, branding campaigns, text and email marketing, classified makeovers to help local newspapers compete with digital verticals to rebuild classified ad income and entertainment as a revenue source. Throughout the conference, sponsors will present sessions outlining examples of real revenue solutions. Professional sales training is also a major part of the program.
All sessions will be held at the Austin American-Statesman building on Lady Bird Lake in the downtown Austin area.
TPA members interested in attending will qualify for a reduced price registration of $395 for one person and $250 for each additional person from the same newspaper. Non-member registration is $595.
