The Uvalde Leader-News seeks an advertising director to lead the newspaper’s print and digital sales efforts in our four-county Southwest Texas market.
Applicants should have a proven track record in selling both print and digital advertising, managing a sales staff and a basic understanding of accounting and software programs like Microsoft Excel. A bachelor degree in marketing or business is preferred.
The ad director will work with the publisher to ensure profitability by meeting revenue and expense targets. Candidates should have a background that includes strategic planning, project management and budgeting. Also essential are excellent organizational and communication skills, a creative approach to revenue development and a strong focus on customer service.
Compensation will include base salary plus attractive bonus package. Benefits include a simple IRA retirement plan.
