Customary Hours: 40 hours per week
The Digital Ad Operations Manager’s responsibility will be to manage the digital ad operations of the company including newspapers, magazines and our agency, M. Roberts Digital. They will provide insight and recommendations to increase our owned and operated revenue.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Manage digital ad ops - remnant and programmatic.
-Oversee and deploy changes to ad unit waterfall.
-Optimize ad revenue both individually and waterfall performance.
-Manage advertising vendors.
-Google Display, AdWords, Connaitix, Nativo, Youtube, Facebook, LiveIntent, AnyClip, others.
-Be the in-house expert on Town News features and functionality - troubleshoots.
-Manage our Google products performance of our Agency clients.
-Digital ad reporting - for each operational unit both performance and revenue. Provide performance insights and recommended improvements.
-Assist, understand, and support a back-up role for BlueConic operations.
-Manage website vendors and performance - Town News, social channels.
-Work with sales reps on increasing O&O revenue (sales engineer).
-Work with newsrooms as a technology liaison.
-Represent ad ops on development projects.
-Project management and development roadmaps as assigned.
-Technical e-commerce and paywall support.
-Digital problem solving.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of programmatic management experience
-Google certification is a plus
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong computer skills.
-Strong project management knowledge.
-Problem solving skills.
-Proficient across multiple digital platforms.
-Ability to read, write, and speak English
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
-The employee possesses the ability to fulfill any and all office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer entry, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.).
-May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
-The individual possesses fine hand manipulation (keyboarding) skills.
