Third generation publisher, STPA historian Sam Keach dies

ROBSTOWN – Sam Fore Keach, the third generation of his family to publish his hometown newspaper and the fourth generation to serve as president of the South Texas Press Association, died April 24. He was 75.
Originally formed in 1919, the Robstown Record, later The Nueces County Record-Star, saw several changes in ownership until 1926, when it was purchased by Elma and Sam L. Fore Jr.

Car accident claims life of Cornerstone Publications owner Natalie Spencer

Cornerstone Publications owner Natalie Elizabeth Spencer, 53, of Rio Medina, died following an automobile accident in the early evening of April 2.
She was born April 11, 1966 in Houston, the daughter of William E. “Bill” Youngs and Martha Eloise Hanby Youngs.
She graduated from Medina Valley High School in 1985. She loved to play golf and was the first female golfer at MVHS.
