A webinar scheduled Sept. 20 focuses on how to verify photos and videos that may be fake.
Most fake photos and videos can be checked quite quickly, allowing journalists and researchers to stop the spread of so-called “fake news” before it gets onto their Facebook feeds.
This course is designed to help students develop an eye for fake photos and video and give them tools and skills to establish the originality and veracity of the content – skills especially useful in a breaking news situation. In addition to verifying content, students will learn how to find potentially hidden information in photographs and videos that may lead to further investigation.
The cost is $39 for the one-hour session. For more information and to register, click here.
