The Headliners Foundation is accepting submissions for its 2015 Showcase Award for Enterprise and Innovation in Journalism.

[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"1767","attributes":{"class":"media-image size-full wp-image-637 alignleft","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","width":"142","height":"142","alt":"headliners"}}]]Entries are being accepted for display in the Showcase section of the Headliners Foundation’s web site by qualifying news organizations or reporters, editors and other members of the professional media community for stories whose initial publication or broadcast has been since June 1, 2015. The 2015 deadline to submit fourth quarter 2015 stories is Jan. 31, 2016. The Headliners Foundation of Texas launched the Showcase Award for innovative and enterprising journalism in 2013 to give an opportunity for recognizing exceptional journalism across all news media platforms, including broadcast, print, online and non-daily publications. The Foundation’s Showcase Award recognizes news initiatives that have made a significant impact on Texas government or public policy, or the conduct of business or non-profit organizations.  Submitting a 2015 entry for this award is easy:

• Just send your contact info and a few details with a link to your story or package of stories, videos and other elements via the submission form at this site: http://headlinersfoundation.org/content-submission
• There is no entry fee.
• And, the winning entry receives a $2,000 cash prize; runners up will receive $1,000 each!
• Entries for stories published or broadcast in 2015 are due within 90 days of initial publication or broadcast.

NOTE: You may continue to update your entry if you publish follow-up stories that are evidence of impact of your previous reporting or you discover new information relevant to your original story packages. Bodies of work, including sidebars, multiple stories, multi-media packages and editorials are encouraged. A word about Headliners approach to rolling or real-time deadlines during the contest year: It is our hope that posting your entries in the same time frame as they were published will extend the reach of your journalism and also collect in one media location the great journalism being produced across Texas.  We also hope that your submissions during the contest year will lighten the load you have each January in making multiple submissions to other journalism competitions.
