Lieb promoted to publisher of The Sealy News

SEALY – Former general manager Amy Lieb has been promoted to publisher of The Sealy News.
Lieb started at The News as bookkeeper/office manager and has maintained the bookkeeping responsibilities while climbing the leadership ladder for nearly five years at the paper.
“Amy has worked hard over the past few years to get The Sealy News to the point where it is now,” Karen Lopez, former Sealy News publisher and currently executive publisher for Granite Media Partners, said. “She has been the brain behind many of the current projects and has proven to be a superstar in our corporation.”
Part of that growth was seen in the reassembled staff and revived newspaper, special sections and social media pages coming out of the first year of the pandemic. “It was definitely a challenge to pick the paper back up, but we were up to the task because we had a great group and a great support team that helped hire a wonderful staff who have all hit the ground running,” Lieb said.
“Being part of the Granite team has brought in support to our newspaper that was very badly needed coming out of 2020, so having them as that backup is going to help us keep growing and evolving alongside our community to continue providing services it needs,” Lieb said. “We are very excited to be part of this community and look forward to all of the big things we have on the horizon for this year.”
