The Kerrville Daily Times is seeking an assertive, motivated general assignments reporter. The paper's award-winning staff covers Kerr County and Kerrville - a thriving community built along the banks of the Guadalupe River and nestled amid the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
The ideal candidate would have an undergraduate degree in journalism or a related field and at least some experience reporting for a newspaper.
Recent college graduates with solid clips from internships or published work at good university newspapers also will be considered.
The position entails covering a variety of subjects and occasionally will require weekend and holiday work.
The Kerrville Daily Times was named the Texas Associated Press Managing Editor's Newspaper of the year for 2018 and won sweepstakes at the Texas Press Association convention this year. The talented staff strives to publish one of the best community papers in the Lone Star State.
Kerrville is roughy 45 minutes from San Antonio and less than two hours from Austin.
