The use of smart phones is growing rapidly. It's not enough to think web-first anymore. That's why Texas Press Association is co-sponsoring a new online training opportunity for journalists on how to become mobile-first.
“Developing a Mobile-First Strategy” will be held Sept. 2 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. In this webinar, industry professionals will learn how to change their news, advertising and marketing strategies to serve increasingly mobile communities.
The presenter, Steve Buttry, has been an editor, reporter, writing coach and innovation coach for seven community and metro news companies. He currently works as the director of community engagement for a new online news operation called Allbritton Communications in the Washington metro area.
The webinar is hosted by the Online Media Campus, a partnership between the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association, the Iowa Newspaper Association and TPA.
The cost of the training is $35. The registration deadline is Aug. 30. Registrations submitted after the deadline are subject to a $10 late fee. Group discounts are available.
Register online.
