logo-Jan-eBulletinThe 2010 Texas Press Midwinter Conference and Trade Show is set for Jan. 21-23 at Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa and Convention Center in Galveston. Please take the appropriate action with these fast-approaching deadlines in mind:

1. The deadline to sign up for the free TexSCAN conference package is Jan. 5. Eligible TexSCAN member newspapers receive one free conference registration, free conference meals and two nights free in the conference hotel (checking in Thursday Jan. 21 and checking out Saturday Jan. 23) for one staff member. For assistance, call (512) 477-6755 without delay. The Texas Press office must make the room reservations for all TexSCAN participants.

2. If your newspaper is not a TexSCAN participant, you have until Jan. 6 to make your hotel room reservation. Call hotel reservations at (409) 741-8484. Mention the special Texas Press room rate of $109 per night. The deadline for regular (non-TexSCAN) conference registration is Friday, Jan. 8.
