The TPA team of Periodicals Consultants will have a booth at the 2010 Texas Press Trade Show on January 21-22.
Harley Hitchcock and Joel Allis will be available to answer postal questions, address concerns, review documents, and perform an “angle of deflection” test on your newspaper. Please take advantage of this opportunity to meet and discuss concerns with your Periodicals Consultants.
In order to let us help you, please bring copies of your Statement of Ownership, postage statements and any correspondence you have received from your local post office.
If you would like us to perform a droop(angle of deflection) test, you will need to bring a representative copy of your newspaper. Your post office may begin performing this test on your paper and the results could impact the postage rates you can claim. It will be of considerable interest to you to be aware of this requirement and understand how it may impact your paper.
We are also encouraging you to let us review your postal documents. It will cost you nothing and may well catch discrepancies or save you postage costs. Our goal is to ensure you are paying the lowest postage allowable, and are in compliance with applicable postal requirements.
