The 2013 Midwinter Conference & Trade Show is made possible by
Branson/Lakes Area Convention and Visitors Bureau,
CenturyLink Inc., Haynes and Boone LLP, Jackson Walker LLP and Shweiki Media, the official sponsors of the conference.

Texas Press is heading to Houston Jan. 17-19 for the biggest event in the Texas newspaper industry, the Texas Press 2013 Midwinter Conference & Trade Show.

This year, the Midwinter Conference will be held at The Westin Galleria Houston, in the city’s Uptown district. The hotel is connected to The Galleria shopping center, the fourth largest shopping domain in the country - home to 375 stores and restaurants and an ice rink.

The conference is a great opportunity to meet new people, especially during the Trade Show, where vendors and industry professionals will converge to discuss new products and ideas.

Friday night we’ll gather to honor our newspaper veterans — men and women who have made outstanding contributions to Texas newspaper journalism — at the Texas Newspaper Foundation Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

With sessions on sales, photography, design and technology, there’s sure to be something on the itinerary for everyone. Follow Texas Press on Facebook and Twitter to get program updates.

To register for the conference, click here. The deadline to reserve a room at the group rate of $124 per night is Jan. 2. To book a room, click here or call the hotel at 713-960-8100.

Once again Texas Press is offering TexSCAN participants a deal that’s too good to pass up. Each member newspaper that participated in the TexSCAN program throughout calendar year 2012 qualifies for one free registration, including program meals and two nights’ stay at the hotel.
