RE: 2008 Better Newspaper Contest
The TPA Contest Committee met earlier this year and approved changes to the month requirements for the 2008 Better Newspaper Contest to make the categories more consistent.
This year the categories News Writing and Advertising were added to the existing categories requiring at least one entry from the designated contest months (May or October).
The only regular category that does not have a month requirement this year is Headline Writing. Special Sections and Community Service also have no month requirements.
Please use the guides below along with the enclosed rules sheet to assist in preparing entries:

CONTEST CHECKLIST
¥ Did you include the $25 overall fee?
¥ Did you attach the contest labels in the upper right-hand corner above
the folio line?
¥ Did you submit at least one entry from May or October if required?
¥ Did you clearly bracket in red marker the story, photo, etc. if
required?
¥ Did you postmark and ship the contest entries by Friday, March 28?
