Burns Memorial Golf Classic set to open Convention, Trade Show activities July 28

The 2022 Robert Burns Memorial Golf Classic benefiting the Texas Newspaper Foundation will kick off the annual TPA Convention and Trade Show July 28-30.
Tournament tee time is 8 a.m. Thursday, July 28, at The Bandit Golf Club near New Braunfels.
Headquarters for the 2022 TPA Convention and Trade Show is the Embassy Suites by Hilton Hotel, Spa and San Marcos Convention Center on I35 in San Marcos. Lumen is sponsor of the tournament.
Registration form is available online at www.tnf.net/golf-tournament. Cost to play is $100, which includes green fee and cart.

Located on the banks of Lake McQueeney, the Bandit Golf Club is about 20 minutes from the convention hotel in San Marcos.  
The 18-hole, 71-par course was designed by golf course architect Keith Foster. Recent improvements to the course include a large new practice green.
The annual tournament raises funds for the Texas Newspaper Foundation to support the Texas Center for Community Journalism at Tarleton University. Directed by community newspaper publisher and Tarleton journalism instructor Austin Lewter, TCCJ provides support and training for community newspapers. 
The center connects with newspaper professionals via the center’s website and social media, with workshops and seminars, and one-on-one sessions available in newsrooms.
