W. Glynn Morris, 91st president, was president of Panhandle Publishing Co. Inc., publishers of the Borger News-Herald. He also was president of Panhandle Press Association.

Entering the newspaper business in 1938 as co-publisher of the Amarillo Times, in 1952 he became director of the Globe News Publishing Company and the Avalanche Journal Publishing Company. In 1956 he became president and publisher of the Panhandle Publishing Co. Inc., and director of the Plains Radio and Broadcasting Company.

During World War II he served as captain and pilot in the U.S. Army/Air Force, seeing service in the European Theatre.

He was born in Dallas where he attended Southern Methodist University. He married Patti Whittenburg on Dec. 27, 1937. They had four daughters.

He was president of Panhandle Press Association in 1953-54.
